Hi guys
I took this at mahone bay last week. It's one that I 'kinda' like but I would like suggestions so i can go back and get the "I love it" shot!

Hmmm ... tough question.
Here's what I don't like ... the wires everywhere ... the half car and half house/shed and all the weeds in the right of the frame.
What I do like is the red house, the bridge, the trees behind the bridge, the rocks on the right bank, and the water.
Therefore, if it were me going back to shoot this I would climb down onto the rocks (don't fall in please) and shoot this at a lower angle that gets some of the rocks right in the right of the frame, includes the bridge, water and more of the red house. Hopefully the wires will be on an angle that's more pleasing that way.
Usually wires look crap when running across your scene. Better to feature them by using them as leading lines if they must be included.
Hope that's helpful :)

Hmmm - For me when I look at full 'scenes' I like them to be fantastic in some way; perhaps the lighting, focal points etc. For me there's nothing really fantastic about this scene as a whole. Therefore, I would have likely focused on the individual elements that make up the scene like the bridge or the rocks and the water. Hope that helps -- Marko

Hrmmm... great compositional elements, good leading lines, BUT no real subject IMO.

I don't quite recognize the neighbourhood but I'm betting that bridge is like "main street". You might want to see what it's like to take a shot from on the bridge which might hide all those nasty wires.
I'm not sure I'd take MA's advice, it doesn't look like there's a lot of room on those rocks ;) That would likely be a much nicer view though :(

Go with her Iggy ... and stand where she took this shot ... and if she falls ... get the shot!! ;)

you guys crack me up.
Iquanasan, the place is mahone bay and it looking towards Main street. I think I can scramble down those rocks but if you want to join me and hold my support rope, that would be great!
I am taking in all the comments so far and hope to return soon to try again. I was taking some relatives touring that day, so not a lot of time to set up a shot (in fact MA the relatives were from Tambourine Mountain-moved there from Brisbane).
Now I just need the rain to let up so I can go back!:yuck:

Cool .... tell them I used to ride on my push bike from Mt Gravatt in Brisbane ... out through Logan Village to Mt Tamborine ... then climb (on the bike) to the top and back again.
We used to camp up at Cedar Creek on Tamborine. Conceived our 1st child while in a tent up there actually :) It's a beautiful place.
