He was sitting on the topmost branch but when the auto focus beeped he bolted. When he flew so did the little fly down to his left :)

Looks like our common Red Wing Blackbird. We see them, for the most part, around water and they frequent marshes where there are cat tails standing.

Beautiful birds and a nice shot.
