This is a brewery perched on the shores of the bay in the city of Perth Western Australia. I took this from a tree top walkway so I was restricted with the composition.

okay since you asked: I love you work MA.
However, this is not one of my favorite photos of yours, and it's not a critique post so I don't know what to say.
I do like the sky and the skyline behind the brewery.
hope the comments are okay.

This has a bit of an orton look to it even though it's an HDR.
Cool view!

This is a very pleasing photo MA and, if it is HDR, I say Good Show ! This is the way I like HDR's to be: "natural".

I usually say "Harden up Princess" but same same ;)
Thanks Zenon and Kat.
Yes it is HDR. No Orton as I don't know how to do Orton and figured there was enough of that here at ph.ca without me adding to it :) I do use a Glamour Blur filter with a few of my own touches that sometimes results in a similar look to Orton I guess.

well to be fair, when almost all of your photos are brilliant, it sets up expectations! it's a nice photo, really, just not as good as most of your work .
so there.

phew. :)
it's the canadian way: have an opinion that perhaps is not so positive but try to make you feel good about it. :o
I work very hard on not saying 'sorry' all the time.

okay so far so good with you as an honourary Canadian....I can look past the beer, it's not a requirement, just an asset... but here's the question:
how do you feel about hockey?

Uh oh ... think I might come unglued here.
Never watched a game and can't say that a bunch of testosterone freaks trying to bash each other in full safety gear and occasionally actually trying get a goal is my idea of tough or sport.
I prefer cycling & motor racing. Does it count I saw Nelson Vails race once? Nelson who you ask? Vails ... A Canadian Olympic cycling star from the mid to late 80's :) He was one of very few Negro cycling stars to come out of the Nth American continent. Great rider.
One of Australia's greatest ever race car drivers was a fella named Allan Moffat. He is a hero here. He is Canadian but defected here in the 60's because his completely controlled epilepsy prevented him from being accepted as a race driver over there.
I'm rambling now :)

okay I know we are totally :offtopic: but I can't seem to stop myself. :)
I used to think the same about hockey, then my kids got into it (appreciate the irony of a woman who wanted to buy her kids a pony but they wanted a hockey rink!). I changed my mind after. it's much less about the fighting and more about the goals these day. My preference is for woman's hockey, more skill and less brute strength.
I see the bike racing, don't get car racing at all. of course my favorite are horse sports, particularly dressage.

That's ok ... it's my thread so I can go off topic if I want ;)
