This is as shot, with some mildly interesting colour and texture. Interested in reactions and comments.

mildly interesting colour and texture.

MILDLY? These colours and textures are VERY interesting to my eye and this is a pretty scene for lack of a better adjective.

For me, this is a good shot and the focal point is area surrounding the larger orangey rock to the right of the teeny 'waterfall'.

What is happening though, is that the top third of the image is stealing my attention because it is too bright. Since there's not much going 'on' in the top third of the image, I'd crop most of it out. You could burn it in, but the 'mildly interesting colour and texture' is all at the bottom anyway. My crop line would probably be 1/4 of the way into the reddish solo rock on the right side in the top third. After I did that, I might also crop a bit into the right side to balance it out.

But that's just my take on it. Hope that helped, and either way, cool shot!

best!

i really like the feel of this photograph. it has a lot of texture and movement and just makes you feel good! :) the rock in the centre of the picture is maybe just a tad too reddish and kind of draws my eye too quickly/repeatedly, but other than that i think its fantastic!

Thanks Marko and Kiley. I was drawn to the colour of the rocks initially and the weather was less than ideal in the area. This is a very nice beach area in a very poor private campground in northern Ontario. You don't realize how badly businesses can be run until use private campgrounds with a tent trailer or RV.

By the way, Marko. You didn't notice that I took a ciment block out of the middle of the photo and replaced it with a rock from elsewhere in the scene.
:) :) :)

I finally found the before shot, purely by accident. Here it is Marko:
