I'm new to this site, but thought I would just jump right in and throw myself to the wolves! Please give me your honest opinions!

The first thing that pops out to me is one, the color. Nice. Then I see nothing else really. The silouettes are hard to make out and there is quite a bit of darkness.

I hope this helps.

Aren't you the courageous one :) - Actually we're a friendly bunch.

At first glance the image is quite striking but when i look closer I find it too dark. The shapes in the midground are almost completely black on my screen as is the upper part of the sky. I do like the fact that the sun is not dead center. Hope that helps - Marko

That is how we learn.

1. This picture is way too dark
2. Maybe by cropping you will get a more interesting image

I just think the image is too small to give an actual critique. I think a larger image would allow for a more accurate critique. I think there is probably more detail than we can see because it is so small. I have photos that when they are small look crap but a larger version it actually is not as dark as it appears and the details are so much more visible.

What he said exactly. With images this small I can't give serious critique I'm afraid. I can only say it looks like a nice shot.

Thanks guys. The image is dark with no detail in the top or bottom, I just thought it was very dramatic looking and it appealed to me. I wanted other peoples opinion though. Also for some reason my images seem to lose a little color when I post them. This one for instance has a much more warm orange than the yellow it showed up as after I posted it. I will keep in mind the size thing for later posts. I have been making my images 72ppi and 5x7 for web posting. What size have you guys been posting at?
