Here is my capture of a Cedar Waxwing. C&C please.

Nice composition. Maybe a slight yellow cast there but it's only slight if it is.

Looks like the best focus was on the leaf behind the bird leaving the bird slightly soft I think. Great catchlight in the birds eye.

I think it is a good shot, color cast and unsharpness de to the poor lens quality.

Thanks for the feedback folks! I had the focus set on his eye using spot metering (if I recall) but it does look like the best focus is slightly behind him. Clearly the red patch on his left wing is very soft. The lens was a Canon 75-300mm consumer lens I borrowed from a friend. Usually I'm the reason for out of focus shots. This time the bird waited for ages while I set up my shots. Kudos to the model. :D

pretty bird! it's a nice shot in terms of composition and the subject matter. the only thing is what other people said, the focus was on the leaf
