Another soft one! Is that from pp? I like it!

Not crazy about this one raiven. The yellow is too muted here for me, and there is a softness issue here as kat pointed out. I'd like to have seen that central flower sharper.
Hope that helps - Marko

Agree with marko; the image appears significantly under-exposed and overall, rather muddy. I'll also add that while I like composition of this image, I think it could have been improved if you had lowered the camera slightly so that the bud at the bottom was completely in the image and there was slightly less space at the top.

I agree with Tirediron and Marco. Perhaps rotating you camera clock wise to include the bud on the bottom. That may help balance the photo by adding weight to the left side. I like the way you captured the light on the tiny hairs on the leaves.

cheers

Like marko I miss here some more light (or saturation?). But the composition is good.

I took a couple of shots of that same flower, so went back and cropped this one and turned it a bit. I think the near yellow flower is sharp. I looked at it 200% and it looks okay to me. They were taken hand held in a wind while walking in some brush along the river, so not ideal conditions. Lol, the neighbour has these but its more exotic to photograph them there.

Very little pp, Kat, just 'general punch' in Lightroom for both.

That second image looks alot better exposed than the first, the muddiness look is gone too.

I definitely like the yellow and exposure better in the second. But, I think it still could have been more focused. Comp is okay though.

I like the second one. it seems sharper and more lively. All this depends on the emotion you want to convey...
