i'd say the second one works better than the first but that guy with the hat's head is blurry and the first one is too blown out and too cluttered cuz it took me a bit to figure out exactly what they were doing. i like the idea though you just need to make it more obvious. and def do the HDR thing you got goin on

I prefer the second photo. The first one has too much dark parts and the light on the faces is much too white (maybe just my taste!).

Yup shot 2 is far superior due to the superior lighting.

Ha! Ha! Very cool that you could get your family to horse around and pose like that! Very fun! Number 2 for sure because of the better light. :) Nice work.

I have a confession to make..I am the guy in the BIG hat *LOL*
I set the camera on a tripod and used the 10 second self timer mode. For some reason my wireless camera trigger was not working.

The three other people are my brothers and it was taken in my parents old garage. My mom no longer lives there. She has Alzheimer. My Dad passed away a few years ago and in a sense this is a tribute to him. He was always a goof so I know he was looking down and probably laughing. All the stuff in the background looks like clutter but it does have sentimental value. The garage was his sanctuary.

Well we had a blast taking the pictures and everyone was amazed by the cybersyncs triggering the flash. We had quite a few retakes due to blocked body parts and harsh shadows created by the tools.

I have some post processing to do :)Sometimes it's best to keep it simple.

Thanks for including that extra info Scorpio - and nice sneaking yourself in! Cool! (I JUST did some self -portraits the other day and I'll upload a few in the next few days)

Just curious any special post processing going on here? This shot has a bit of an HDR feel.

I used the Lukasart filter on the second one. I used two layers. Top layer was Lukasart and I reduced opacity by 25%. Nothing but the basic adjustments and a little cloning to the bottom layer.


The Lukas art filter is nice be it can be overdone.
