Bunny and Squirrel

I just got a point and shoot camera to have for convinience. It's 12MP. I did some heavy photoshoping, but tell me what you think.

Hi Realist,

This is a cute shot but I think you may have overdone it (a bit) on the colour. The green seems either too warm or too saturated. I would try dialing down the saturation a bit or maybe dialing down the warmth (prehaps yellow). I'm not a colour expert but the colours in the after shot seem less natural (even though they DO look better) than the colours in the original shot.

One last thing I would do is still burn in (darken) the bottom left corner about 10-15%.

Hey marko. The idea with the yellow was that it gave more contrast between the ground and the animals, but I'll change that and post it here again to see what you think. As for that corner it used to be white. What I did was make a new layer and colored that area green and turned the opacity way down to filter it. Any more green makes a noticeable line, but I'll see what I can do.

I photoshoped it again for you. You're right the yellow didn't need to be there and the burn tool worked really good.

I think that looks better actually and when I look at it one more time...perhaps a bit of sharpening on the squirrel might also help as it seems a wee bit soft.

If you aren't familiar with sharpening, do a quick google search on the unsharp mask filter.

Although every picture is different, when I sharpen using that filter I usually use 50-150 for amount, keep the radius around 1 and the threshold around zero. But play around, that's the beauty of photoshop.

Here I sharpened it up now. That really does make a big difference. I learned photoshop from school for a year. The program is so complex I dont think I even know half of it. I just have to keep playing, but thanks for the advice.
