I liked the crystals...any thoughts? I'm wondering how to change the light to make it better. I had a halogen lamp lighting it from below and to the left of the shot.
Thanks :)

I see the potential in this shot and here's what I'd try on a reshoot.
I'd try all kinds of positions with the light but I might try to get the lamp at the same level to start with.
I'd also choose my shooting angle very carefully to try to get as little dark space if possible. I can't know if changing positions was even possible in your case. but had you moved just a bit to your left you could likely have 'filled' the empty spaces in the background with crystal.
If possible I would dust the crystal as well.
Hope that helps - marko
I've never done anything like this so I can't really offer any advice Casil :o Lol, sorry. But I just wanted to say that this looks like a shot that could have super results once you get it right! :)

this is a good subject. crystals. but the ones in focus at the right looks frosted, not clear, or as marko said it might be dusty. it would help if you placed 8"x11" white reflectors to make the facets defined.
