The shot of the boys hands brought me to tears. This is photography I would wish that never existed but because it does, I am glad it is. In my life I would love to be able to make photography that has a purpose, although most times it is soo awful and sad.

Makes you think, if they saved every penny they made, they would only be able to buy some of our camera bodies... and you still need to buy lenses, not to mention, clothes, homes, cars, etc. Even in the worst situations here in the US and even in Canada, we lead lives that some of these people could never even imagine. Very humbling.

The story was once the same in America. It was the photography of Lewis W. Hine that helped to bring about the necessary change.
Never underestimate the power of an image.
