As photographers, many of us are constantly looking for new fun things to shoot. One thing that I find is always fun to go shoot are reenactments. In this case I shot a World War II island Assault Reenactment. This way I get to play war photographer without getting actually shot at.

Huh. I don't think we even have re-enactments in Edmonton...But, it's definitely a good idea! :) The first two shots are pretty consistent with what I see in textbooks. Nicely done.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this kind of play and have been incorporating it into my own personal work for years. Thanks for posting these :highfive:

Ya this place is cool.. They have an actual PT boat in the museum and one of the only working Flame Throwers from WWII. Wish I had one of these!! Would make rush hour much more interesting!!

Great work (But I'd lose #5 - the blanks sort of spoil it). Well done. Have you thought about trying to age these to look more period?

Cool stuff. Was this a one off thing? You speak as though you can go there and shoot this often?

Actually in this case its a museum (http://www.nimitz-museum.org/) so you can go there anytime but they only do the reenactment several times a year.
