Need some advices about printing

I wanna submit 2 prints for critiques on my camera club.
I choose Ghost Boats and Walk on Deck, to monochrome section.

Now, how should I do ?
All that I know (from Marko's podcasts) is that I have to do it in sRGB, not AdobeRGB, because labs are working in sRGB.

For the best prints you'll really want to have a calibrated monitor, plus edit the photographs using the photo printers colour profile.

Then when you bring it into the shop you'll want to tell them you want absolutely No Edits. Otherwise there's a good chance they'll preform some edits as well.

LL is correct. It makes no difference at all (in terms of printing a successful rendition of your image) what colour space you work in if your monitor is not calibrated. If you print at home you can make adjustments. You'll make WAY less of them if both your monitor and printer are calibrated.

If you send it to the lab, and your monitor is NOT calibrated, you'll need to tell them to colour correct the image. If it IS calibrated, no corrections are likely needed.

If you are working with a lab, stay at the same lab so if there are small corrections to make, they will likely be consistent corrections.
