I think from a photo journalist perspective these shots are well done. I am posting the photos and please refrain from the politics of it but on the photos.

From a few of the shots around the bank it looked like the photographers out numbered the protesters. I know it's just the angle from which the photo was taken.

I always like your links A.L. as they provide me with images that I would not likely see otherwise.

Many of these images are absolutely fantastic.
Many of these images embody what Cartier-Bresson called the decisive moment.

Great pics, indeed. I didn't go to the protest, but I expect it was largely the same small group of core people starting trouble, either for the "fun" of a fight, or for political reasons, as is often the case at these things.

Speaking of Cartier-Bresson et al - anyone catch the BBC documentary series called "The Genius of Photography"..? Really well done series from the beginnings of photography up to the present day. Fascinating stuff...

I notice some of the photographers had helmets on. Obviously expecting trouble.
