that is really a nice shot. Nice portrait.

All that I can suggest is that I might do a little bit of cropping on the right side of the photograph.

Initially I thought the gondola was a distraction - however it puts the location of the photo into context. I like the tonal quality and would also like to see the photo with the boat cropped out just as a different view. Interesting though.

An effective portrait with a fairly classic pose, well composed, with appropriate use of colour and good lighting of the face. A minor visual distraction is the part of an ear on the right that breaks up the facial line.
The gondola is also a bit of a problem too. Crop too much and it does not look like a gondola. Not cropping at all, means that the viewer is looking for the back end of the gondola which is out of the shot. Not so tight on the framing gives one more to work with, if postprocessing is worthwhile too.
