Nice one Raiven. Great Colour. Fantastic focus on the centre of the flower. I like this DOF, and would also like to see a shot with greater DOF. I also like the off centre composition.

^^What he said. That thing in the middle looks like a brain o_O

Ditto all the above comments and great exposure too. I can even see vein details in the shadows.

cheers

Thanks all! Lol, Gem, I can not remember the name of the flower, but they resemble poppies a bit.

I think I would have liked to see the entire flower in focus, or at least the closest leaf. It is a great shot but that forward petal out of focus bothers my eyes just a little.

Mindforge, I am not sure if I can get more dof? Here is my exif: Aperture: f/16.0
Focal Length: 165 mm. Attached to that I had a Nikon no.4T closeup filter. I had a plasitic diffuser on the flash which I reflected back with a piece of cardbord covered with the dull side of aluminum foil.

Now that you mention it, it does look like a purple poppy...Excluding the brain.

A genetic experiment gone wrong?!

Sorry. Sometimes I just blurt out things :headslap:
