Returning from the Banks

Well, occasionally the time of day: toward sunset, provides good lighting and colour. I think the background might have been better as either more bland or more interesting. What is your take?

I like this shot tegan! I like the matching and vibrant colours of the boat and the lighthouse. I also like the panoramic view and think that this would look amazing as a large print. I like the background this way, I don't think it needs to be more bland but I do see your point on the side of interestingness. The photograph MAY be even stronger with really dramatic storm clouds for example. Still, this is a really nice shot with good colour and composition.
