This is the first time I have tried selective colouring on person. OK it is not exactly selective colouring, but more selective colour enhancing. I am mainly interested on C&C on the selective colouring, toning etc as I know there are a couple of flaws in the original. Specifically there is a slight blur on the arm because he moved.

Thanks.

Back in the day (pre-digital) I used to do a lot of handcolouring and imo this is really well done. There's just enough going on with the colouring to enhance the pic without drawing too much attention to the technique. Basically it's subtle and i like it. I do notice the the boy's right eye has some red in it though. Hope that helps - Marko

Yes, his right eye has patches of brown, and I tried to keep that. Maybe I got the colour slightly wrong?

REALLY? wow. So his eyes are naturally blue and brown?

Man ... he has HUGE beautiful eyes!

I like it too Antz.

I find photos that are only 500 or 600 pixels on their long side a bit hard to comment on properly though because they are rather small on my screen.

Much better! I can see that the eyes are in great focus now and the slight freckling is also apparent.

I'd love to see a macro shot of his left eye (the one without the brown patch although that would be interesting also) because it looks like the perfect blue eye!
