I have figured out why I wasn't liking my images that I process on my laptop. I could not see them due to the tiny screen. Last week, I purchased a 25" monitor and can see them now. I have started going back through my Italy trip images and editing more, ones that I passed on.

Here is Santa Croce Cathedral in Florence, Italy. We stayed about 1 minute walk from here.

This is fantastic.
I dig the comp and the God-light. Framery time.

This is worth working more PP wise though. I think my eye wants to see maybe 25% more contrast overall.
But it also wants to see whiter whites in the church and the Godlight. This deserves to sing much louder.
(The challenge will be bringing back more whites but not too much)

I too love this and agree with Marko 100 %.

When I saw this on Flickr last night my immediate reaction was that it could handle some quite strong PP and I did a 2 minute edit to see what it would look like. It was very quick and rather blunt and but I can share it if you want Increased contrast and dodging and burning to highlight the rays and focus on the centre building.

You will notice a huge difference with a larger monitor. I cant edit on my laptop for the same reasons as you.
