There isn't much room under the metal, so I stuck a wide angle in there for a little different look at the spheres.

The shot is good but I didn't get how this is captured. I mean how did you managed and how it looks actually.
I use a piece of decorative metal that is 2' wide by 3' long. Placing a red gel on back of the metal and then covering that with a piece of white paper I shape the form of a tunnel in the long direction and lay that over the spheres that sit on black. Darken the room and hold a wescott ice light over the "tunnel" for the length of the exposure. This one was 13 seconds @ f/16 with the 16mm-35mm Nikkor f/4 lens. Focal length was 27mm wth a focal distance of about 10 inches. Shooting at iso 125.
Didn't mean to show two images. Maybe Marko could remove the bottom one so as to tidy it up a bit.
