We just bought a 72mm Marumi UV Haze filter to suit the EF 28-135 lens we just ordered as a walk around lens.

I've never heard of Marumi. Usually we get Hoya around here, apart from Canon etc and Coken.

Anyone know much about the quality of these Marumi filters?

Never heard of them either; the name has a Japanesae ring to it. How were the prices? I've found that's generally a pretty good indicator of filter quality.

Well a quick look around and I found Marumi are Japenese and quite common over there and also in the UAE region and the Netherlands.
Apparently the quality is the same as Hoya and the pricing is also.

It looks clean to me ;)
