I found this relic at a flea market this past Sunday. Walking up and down the rows of junk (treasure), I spotted an old Brownie Holiday out of the corner of my eye. I walked over to the table where it lay feigning no interest in anything he had to offer and after picking up several other items and laying them back down, I got to the old Kodak. I asked him how much and he said $5. Putting it back on the table and turning to walk away, he called me back.

“Make me an offer” he said. I replied that I had no real use for it as I already had a couple of them. “Wait a minute”, he said as he turned to reach inside a box of stuff he hadn’t put on the table yet. “Have you got one of these?” I had to admit that I didn’t and ask him what he had to have for it. “I’ll take $20 and throw in the other one”.

I walked away with both the Errtee and the Brownie for $15.

The Brownie had probably taken its last picture many years ago, but the Errtee is in near mint condition and I’m sure it would provide me with an image if I only had a glass plate as I believe that was what it used when it was new back sometime around 1910 or so.

Very cool! I like the self portrait in the 3rd shot as well. :) That vario option must have been exciting technology back then - 25, 50, 100 ISO plus bulb and timer! Sweet!
