View Full Version : Mars-like Surface
Haven't taken the camera out in a while because of exams and stuff, so when I saw something that caught my eye this morning on the way to uni, I thought it was about time I took some pictures. As soon as I got home, I grabbed the camera and went back out to try something new. Comments always appreciated!

That 2nd shot grabs me completely. I love shadows and light and in this ... you've got texture as well. Great shot!

The Mad Australian said it quite well.
I like the second one too. Same reasons as MA
Cheers EJC
I boosted the contrast in the first one. Better? Or not worth the effort? :p

An improvement Gem but I think the lack of focus relegates this one to the could've been pile.

for me, the boost shows the graininess even more - not sandiness :p
+1 for me with MA, JJ, EJC

Your 2nd shot is too good for the 1st shot to compete with I'm afraid :)

We weren't critiquing in here anyhow ... just saying we liked the 2nd shot.
If we were critiquing we would have gotten up on our high horses and boldly told how would have done this or we wouldn't have done that ;)
And instead of politely insisting the 2nd shot was better I'd said the first one was crap! http://www.mtbdirt.com.au/home/smf/Smileys/classic/nahnah.gif
