What color is the dress? Pertains to photography

If you haven't seen it, about 3/4 of the people that view this dress see it as white and gold color. The other 1/4 people see it as blue and black. I can understand the blue because the white balance is off, giving the white a blue tint, but for the life of me, I cannot figure out how people can see the gold as black.

BTW, the dress is white and gold
