My first thoughts exactly. Where we used to live had a range called the "Ghost Mountains" and this popped right into my mind at first sight of this.

One of my Sensei's favourite sayings when trying to explain the concept of metsuke (karate lingo) is "look off into the misty mountains." Now I know what I should be seeing ;)

Somehow I feel the need to redeem myself. Someone didn't like my last comment.
How's the cat? Not too traumatized? Its therapy in order? A tranquiliser, perhaps? Possibly not, Michael, I've been trawling trough your landscapes (and avoiding anything feline). What a pleasant and sensitive approach you have. Christine speaks highly of Canada and its people. "You should see it" she evokes.
No need to any more. I can look at Michael's photos. What splender, what space, what colour. And what care and delicacy in his approach and recording. I'm especially drawn to the contrast and balance between the natural beauty and the descrete manner in which you hold a human influence in each shot. A walking track, a house tucked into the dale, an abandoned relic of the past.
I have a friend on Vancouver Island who does a similar thing. You might be aware of Toad Hollow Photography. If not, look it up and say g'day to my dear friend, Scotty. Mind you, he's a bit heavy handed on the HDR thing for my liking. I find your approach much more soothing and meditative.

You're not going to earn any brownie points around here jumping in heavy and firing from the hip Tom. You may not like cats, not everybody does and hell if I had a dollar for all the stuff people don't like, this wouldn't be a long weekend but rather an eternal one. When I take a cat into my life we're partners 'til one of us dies and if I did fire it out the door when it lost it's cuteness causing it to run off and join the furry arian circle or the feline crips who's fault would that be? Maybe with your particular set of social skills Tom it might pay to lay low a while and get a feel for the group before you suffer more slings and arrows of outrageous misfortune. Now I know why I don't blog.
I have no social skills, at least the ones needed to "fire from the hip". Not being a gun toting type I might take offense at the euphemism but I'll let it pass.
Lay low is it? Seems like I've suddenly developed a case of social leprosy. Opinionated complements are accepted but similarly opinionated derogates are frowned on.
Ah, well. I gave it a try. Back to the dungeon for me. Can someone turn of the light and slam the door behind me?
