Hi all.

I'm a new immigrant to Canada. I used to have a home studio in Pakistan for the past three years, doing family portraits with studio and available light. I am completely lost about how to reactivate my business in canada.. I have always used Facebook as my place to connect with new clients and show my work. My biz was/is called Firefly Photoworks on Facebook.
What are the rules and regulations?
What legal things do i need to know?
How do I reach people and advertise without much investment since I'm new here and I really can't afford it?

I work alone and intend to work from home at the moment. I do know I can hire lights if needed, but it seems the trend here is mostly outdoor and in the summer.

PLEASE HELP! :) Would appreciate any advice.

Hi and welcome to the forum!

We like to help but these are enormous questions you are asking that take books to answer.

Most of your questions aren't really about photography, they are about setting up a photography business using social networking etc.

Just so you know - most of our members don't seem concerned with that stuff - they just want to make good images.

Hi. Thanks for clarifying that. Would you mind suggesting a forum that might be more suited to my problem?
I'm sorry for the bother. I thought general photography might cover this sort of issue.

I don't know about other forums but for web marketing and business ideas marketing over coffee (http://www.marketingovercoffee.com) rocks.
Good luck.
