View Full Version : How do you affix prints directly to wall?

Hello,

During the Contact Photography Festival in Toronto I saw a number of exhibits where prints were affixed directly onto to wall, like wallpaper.

I asked staff at a few of the galleries how this was done but none of them knew. Does anyone here have any idea of how to do this? Perhaps it IS wallpaper glue?

Although I assume that removing the photo installations will destroy the original prints, I'm also wondering whether or not it will damage the wall. I'd love to try this in my home but I'm a bit cautious as I rent.

Thank you very much!

Leigh.

You should look into mod podge. I have used it to affix photos to blocks of wood, canvases, etc...

It's a glue though right?

bad idea if you want to keep the print pristine or the wall pristine.

I'd recommend sticky tack

It is a kind of glue...it doesn't really damage the print...if you don't try to remove it....lol
