Hi Everyone,
Happy to find this site - Marko recently suggested I check it out and I'm glad I did!
About me... though my day job isn't remotely connected to photography or any of the arts, I have a Fine Arts educational background and many moons ago during my University days I did a lot of B&W photography. I so enjoyed darkroom work - developing my own negatives, printing my images, and so on. My love for B&W continues and more often than not, my current digital efforts are in B&W / monochrome. In terms of style & subject matter, well, I'm all over the place.
My main gear these days is a Nikon D7000 & assorted lenses. I'm considering getting a full-frame camera later this year but I'm not sure yet - my D7000 is probably a better camera than I am a photographer and I haven't decided if I should take the plunge. Still, I hear that siren song...
I can't wait until the weather finally breaks so I can get back out there - I've never been fond of dragging my gear around with me in cold or inclement weather and my output always takes a dive over the winter months (with a few exceptions here and there).
Check out my Zenfolio galleries - the link is in my signature & profile. Comments welcome.
Best,
Doug
