Hypothetical situation ...

Someone rich contacts you after seeing your photos and offers to pay for you to travel anywhere in the world for single day photo shoot http://www.mtbdirt.com.au/home/smf/Smileys/classic/photo.gif of something specific.

Describe the one thing/place you would choose and why? http://www.mtbdirt.com.au/home/smf/Smileys/classic/hmm.gif

Scotland or Cambodia. If it were Scotland, I'd have to swing by the Emerald Isle while I was that close.

Can you be more specific? Exactly what on the Emerald Isle would you be interested in shooting in just a single day?

Architecture, landscapes, (to include castles) pubs, and people.

Well ... I haven't decided yet really. I'm tossing up between one or two specific Countries and locations or a specific animal perhaps. But seeing as I've asked for a 'specific' answer I can't go rattling off several ideas ... I need to choose one

For me it would be either to the hills of Tuscany or rural France to capture the essence of the traditional way of life.

In the end for a one day shoot I decided to choose a location also.

High on my list is the Canadian Rockies and also Bavaria (Sth Germany).

But given this opportunity I think I would choose a traditional village in Japan in a picturesque area near Mt Fuji when the mountain had a snow cover and could be seen as a backdrop for many photos I took during the day. Geisha Girls, Lotus Blossoms, Japanese architecture etc would make a wonderful days shooting with the camera I think.

Without a doubt back to India; any major city, to photograph the people, especially the lower castes. The very short time I had there last year was absolutely the most rewarding time I have ever had photographically speaking.

Ohh..great question.

I'm somewhere down in South America or Africa. I'd have to do more research but those are two places I'm aiming for in my life.

No..not really warm. I love the culture of both continents.

The villages/people/ruins and landscape of Peru really has my eye.

Then there is africa with it's people/landscapes and animals..

It would be hard for me to decide. It really would....

Guess I should add that I'm from the Yukon so the photos of Alaska and such will come for me with a visit to an aunt

Spend two years Driving across Canada East to West and North to South of every province and territory with just me and my wife. I have been to every province and both territories several times when there were only two territories but I think my appreciation now would but far greater. I used to travel a lot but now I have no desire to leave Canada for any reason, I like it here and just think having the time to experience it all over again over an extended period of time is my dream, if my time doesn't expire first, in a few years there is a very good possibility of it happening.
