China Beach is on the southern part of the Oregon coast. It's easy to miss -- there's just one small sign along the road, and you have to hike a couple of miles to get there. On this day, there was a thick fog right at sunrise, but it quickly started burning off, revealing the mystical backdrop of rocks in the blue ocean.

Looks like Phuket (I'm guessing that's where it got its name), one of the places on my bucket list.

Beautiful. Love the blue tones.

(AFAIK China beach is related to Vietnam, not Thailand.)
Very lovely scene - love the blues.
I have a suggestion on the crop, as I find the scene a bit unbalanced (in particular) the lighter curved rock on the mid-left edge. mind if I make an edit?

If you disagree, please tell me so. Thx! The original ratio is respected in this crop.

Hi Marko. Hmmmm. I think I like the original better. I guess it's because the rocks cropped out in your version make the background feel more complete somehow.

Really lovin' the tones here. Either version works just as well for me, "but" you need to get rid of that speck of dirt/dust on sensor between the two rocks on the right, and frame this one.

I too love the blue tones and the mood with the fog. I have no problem with either crop, however if I was forced to choose I think I would prefer the original.

I love the both photos and a bit more on the cropped one.
