Still hard to beat the magic warmth and grace of a wooden boat. Especially when she was the first in the world to break the 200mph mark back in the 1950's. What a sound too when she fires up. 3000 hp Griffon Spitfire MkXII aircraft engine.

Holy crap this must fly. I'd like to here the sound of it on the lake with that engine wound up a bit. Nice POV.

Love those boats .. remionds me of the speed boats Ferrari used to built in Italy ..... so nicely crafted ... sigh, what a lost art.

Thanks Aub, and Matt. Yes, there is just something that can't be replicated with the fiberglass boats of today isn't there.
Fortunately Matt there are several wooden boat-builders in this area that have, and will, pass on the craft for generations yet. Couple to look at here.
