Marco I think it is all painted with a LED or similar small flashlight, you can see a faint image of him in some of the frames. That is what make this so cool to me. The sparks I bet are added later in post.

No, he is actually drawing the skeleton in the air with a light pen. I read an article in Popular Photo on how to do this (Oct issue)
