A commercial grower in the Humboldt Bay/Mad River bottom land grows high end flowers commercially, and for seed and bulbs. Once a year (usually), they have an open house. Knowing the flowers would be exquisite, I took 100-400mm macro, 25mm extension tube and two large strobes. Too many people for a tripod, but I got lucky and was very steady that day.
These are hybrid (I guess so!) oriental lilies. Rich

And exquisite those colours are indeed. Especially in that 2nd shot.

Thank you. When you've spent all Spring and Summer trying to find a flower with the least bug holes, etc., being set loose in a place like that is a bit overpowering. I'm just glad I remembered to push the button. Rich

Thanks, Randitola. That refrigeration warehouse was full of full spectrum lights. That really helped. Rich

Thank you, Yisehaq. Second one my favorite, too, because I never expected it to be clear or bright. A happy surprise. I appreciate your comment. Rich

Nice colors! I like the detail in that second one. I've got that first one in my back yard! They really are nice.

Thanks, aubintbay. They had hundreds on display, all so beautiful, it was almost impossible to choose which ones to shoot. Rich
