Went on a shoot to try out my new companion. Opted for an area that I have not visited yet: the Red Rock Coulee in Alberta. Was one day after the full moon, so I was hoping to do some night photography. Here are some of the results:

GREAT SHOTS....LOVE #4. Did you realize that the 2nd star in the handle is actually a binary star (Alcor and Mizar)?

Well, done! Loving #3 and #4. I see an opportunity for some awesome light painting here.

Love #4. well seen. Agree with Jas about the light painting opportunity. Also... nit picky I know... but cloning out the lights from the mainland would really help a nature image

I guess I will be different as I like #1 for the lighting, and love the comp, but all well executed Matt.

Great set mate. 3 & 4 for me. I keep going back to look at # 3 - to me the use of flash is particulalry effective in that shot.

Another vote for 3 and 4. I'd though 2 until I saw 3. Lighting the rock works.

As much as I like the daytime shots in the other post, I really dig these nighttime ones. Especially the last two. Well done
