Any advice would be appreciated from gallery names to what should be deleted.

I had time for a quick look - mostly to see what navigation was like. There were 2 obvious things that I saw. First, the word Photography blends in with your front image. The gold just gets lost in the bridge. For the second, when I took a pass through the galleries, there wasn't an intuitive way to move to another gallery or to your front page. I don't know much about SmugMug's templates, so I don't know if that's easy to fix or not. I haven't had time to look at the images and the way they're organized (and that might be better addressed by others). Just a first impression, and I hope it's useful.

Thanks Q1! I changed the photo on the front page to what i was originally using so the lettering stands out more. I have been struggling to get folders to show up as a back link and no matter what I do they will not. I can not figure it out but all the available galleries show at the bottom of the page. The little house icon will take you back. I tried to extend the "breadcrumb but all it did was add my name and the little house icon and you still had to hit the house icon to back track. They have changed all their preset galleries and i actually had to wait to get in line for the new version even though I have had a Smugmug for awhile now. Probably a few hiccups along the way, but the format looks way nicer than it previously did. :) I have more on the site that I am not showing just to keep it relatively simple and to show what I think are my best images.

Front page looks fab as do the nice large images.
Is it better to have named galleries on the front page? what happens when you want to add more? Will it get too cumbersome?
Maybe just a link that says Galleries on the front page is best and on that page have the actual galleries....Can't be sure.

Really nice, JAS! I really like the large image that you used for your homepage. The galleries are great--nice choices!
I was wondering why when you click on a gallery, it has the gallery name twice across the top. There's the "home" icon, a ">", the gallery name, another ">" and the gallery name again. I assume that you will be writing an "about me" piece to put in there too?
I'm working on a website too, so I may throw it out there for you guys to take a look at and give me some feedback in the near future.

The new front picture works much better. It makes your title and links look like they're being lit by the bridge's lights. I still need to sit and look at your galleries, but I did notice that the link for The Urban Landscape opens a new tab, and the others don't, except for Imagekind, which I'd expect, since it's an external site. Looks like it's coming along.

Thanks for the help everyone. I discovered that my about me was not working because I had it set up on it's own page and I do not have a high enough level of ownership for links to pages but I can put the "about me" on all pages. I was trying to figure out how to link to a folder and have all the galleries within show up on the page but it does not work like that apparently. I can link to a folder then have a sub-menu with the list of galleries within. So basically I have links to a gallery only and a click on the name once it is open will take you to the thumbnail list of the galleries I have active. Some of my folders and galleries had the same name so I am renaming them to see if it is less confusing. Back to the drawing board....
