Today I've been playing with my lightbox I built and thought I'd make a couple of animations from my photos.

You might notice some slight movement in this. The camera and tripod certainly didn't move as such but I guess this shows that I should have used the 2 sec timer or remote, which I usually do. This time I didn't and I think the motion of pressing the button is just enough to create that movement.

This is actually a very cool concept MA, VERY cool. :highfive::highfive::highfive::highfive: I see limitless photographic applications for this fairly simple technology. (animated gifs).
These are pretty well done for mucking around and there are a million ways to create extremely interesting 'fine art photography' images in this way.

Most of the images I have seen in this way have been graphic images (banners, clip art etc) and not actual photographs.

True for now this would only be a web thing...for now.

Have you seen any other amazing images created in this way?

Did I say how cool I think this is? I already have images in my head on how this could be used extremely creatively?

Yeah, it's a fun one. One nice thing to try:

I had a model car that I took outside at night, and "lit" with a couple of torches. I'd take a pic, move the lights, take another pic, and so on.

Then, by combining and animating the shots, you get the lights moving around the model, picking up different areas of shadow and detail. Worked really well. Ultimately, you're better off going to a movie file rather than animated gifs because gifs get massive very quickly (not much compression going on) but it's a fun technique.

Thanks for comments all ... I wasn't sure this technique would accepted.

I haven't looked around at any other examples of this actually Marko ... it's something I've played with a bit here and there and has, of course, come from building so many banners etc for our websites.

That 'move the light' idea sounds really cool Ben!
