I have recently stumbled upon the work of Montreal Photographer Nicolas Ruel Nicolas Ruel Photographer - Exhibition (http://www.nicolasruel.com/exhibitions/#0/0), and am intrigued how he goes about printing on stainless steel.
Just out of curiosity, I am wondering if anyone has any insight into the process.

Are you sure it's stainless steel?
I believe I've seen similar work up close and I believe it's aluminum - under the brand name Dibond - It's an interesting look, but no true whites.
might be this Dibond Aluminium Composite Panels (http://www.tri-dee.com/Dibond%20Aluminium%20Composite%20Panels.htm)

Runmonty,Marko -There is a book titled "Digital Alchemy" by Bonny Pierce Lhotka that describes how you can use an inkjet printer to print images on virtually anything including metel. If you google the name/title you will get some info and a video. I have the book as I was intrigued by the possibilities but it seems one can only order the material from her from the US and in quite large quantities - which means twice the cost by the time it gets to Canada. So haven't pursued it. Watch the video on Google - it's a transfer process.

Nicolas Ruel: The energy and vitality of modern city living perfectly captured in a series of stunning images | Mail Online (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2257892/Nicolas-Ruel-The-energy-vitality-modern-city-living-perfectly-captured-series-stunning-images.html)
Does not explain how he prints but does explain how he captures the photos, which at first I thought were double exposures, but are instead camera movement over an 8 second exposure. The effect is quite cool, I gotta give this a try now. :)
