In Baton Rouge, there is only one quality print shop for photographers, Kadair's (the same place where I buy a lot of my equipment). For on line ordering, they use LifePics. The max file I can upload to LifePics is 12mb. The following image is 82mb. How much detail or resolution will I lose if I down size the image to 12mb?

What size will you be printing at?

You could also try any of the larger online printing companies. mpix, adorama etc.

You might try imagekind Prints, Posters, Canvas & Framed Wall Art from Independent Artists at Imagekind (http://www.imagekind.com/default.aspx). They have all kinds of fancy papers (Hahnemuhle) which I am a big fan of plus will do custom matting and framing. You will never have to adjust an image to fit a standard frame. :) You can upload a Tiff file as large as 200mb, although that would take a long time. They do a good job of printing but are not cheap. They also show the maximum size a file will print.

I'd call the lab and ask them, they should be able to give you a good idea as to the quality u can expect.
