This is a very cool long exposure by taffy in the thread http://www.photography.ca/Forums/black-white-monochrome-monotone-photography-forum/19621-clevedon-beach.html
I really like the moody feel to this well composed shot and the way the light is glinting off some of the rocks.

I have to nominate this one by Dan Newcomb from http://www.photography.ca/Forums/animals-mammals-birds-insects-etc/19641-short-eared-owls.html. It was hard to choose but the action and intensity of these eyes is incredible

And Iggy deserves a nod for this fantastic action shot taken for the challenge:

KMunroe's http://www.photography.ca/Forums/animals-mammals-birds-insects-etc/19685-kingfishers.html thread is a great set but I love this one the most. The catch light in the eye, the detail in the feathers the delicious bokeh background... just awesome!

Seems to be a bird month! Mad Aussie's http://www.photography.ca/Forums/animals-mammals-birds-insects-etc/19701-soaring-free.html is just absolutely lovely. The back lighting combined with a well exposed front is amazing.

The quietness and sense of solitude depicted in "A Long Winters Sleep" (http://www.photography.ca/Forums/black-white-monochrome-monotone-photography-forum/19742-long-winters-sleep.html) makes this a splendid photograph.
Very well done, Iggy.

Why, thank you very much, Barefoot. :goodvibes
I have to add some competition to my shot though. Here's Bambi's http://www.photography.ca/Forums/show-your-photo-color-landscape-nature-flowers-mountains-storms-etc/19750-winter-woods.html
I just really like the layers. A bright patch of snow with a dark tree line and another bright patch of snow with more dark trees in the background. Very cool.

I could not choose between these two so am posting both. The female cardinal just doesn't get the attention she deserves. People always fussing and awing over her mate.

I could just gaze at this one (http://www.photography.ca/Forums/show-your-photo-color-landscape-nature-flowers-mountains-storms-etc/19779-winter-stroll.html) from JustinRyan for hours. The entire set (http://www.photography.ca/Forums/show-your-photo-color-landscape-nature-flowers-mountains-storms-etc/19779-winter-stroll.html) is nice, but this one is special.

Thanks so much for the nod. I appreciate it. I would also agree about the females. Their colouring often times has a painted quality to it which I just love.
