Just giving you an update on on the "Am I Overreating".
As I had indicated, as a compromise, I did enter two pictures in this United Way Photo Contest at work. Two pictures that I was willing to to give up the rights to, were not necessarily my best work, and they can easily be recreated with changes and improvements. Well, I won best overall picture and for that I got a little Nikon point and shoot pocket camera. Cool, because I didn't have a little pocket camera and now I do. I guess it was worth it.
Love to show you the picture but I no longer have the rights to it. Will show you my recreation when I get it done.

Well good job! At least you found a compromise and got a free camera out of it!

Thanks guys. With over 4000 employees I would have though that somebody might have had a better picture than mine. Maybe I'm putting myself down, and picture is better than I thought and my standards have gotten higher since I've been on this forum.

I know for me I feel a challenge to take as good of pictures as people on the forum. There hasn't been too many bad photos lately, and I find myself automatically critiquing my pictures. Lots of talent here, and lots of help from everyone!

Awesome! It's such a wonderful ego boost to know someone else appreciates your work. It's hard for us as photographers who nitpick at each and every detail. We're are own worst critics! :)

You blame your time here and willingness to listen to the critiques I reckon ;)
