Been taking pictures since the 80's,.....then the wife, then kids, then...... recently got back into real photography, not the P&S kind, tho they do take great pic's even when displayed on the Large screen TV,that said it's a world of difference in the digital age than film, alot to learn...having a hard time posting pics from photobucket to here,tried finding in FAQ but ....looking foward to getting back into the world of detail...Thanks Guy

Your history is much the same as mine. I too have rediscovered photography in the past few years, after being keen in the 80s but then pretty much been P & S during the intervening years.

Looking forward to seeing some of your shots.

To post from Photobucket, you should be able to use the "insert image" button at the top of the page (refer screenshot below) and click on the "from URL" tab copy and then paste the link address for your image.

I've tried several/many times but keep getting erors or invalid files, I'm having no problems posting on other sites......

This is so frustrating for me as well - i was just about to PM another member having a similar issue wondering if it is fixed because we tweaked something....but i read this now so i know the answer.

The issue is...I can't reproduce the error on any computer I try... so I'm tweaking blindly....

So for now...if the image lives anywhere else on the net, you can call it like cake....

Also please feel 100% free to email me the pic and i can post it on your behalf.

I am not familiar from photobucket but Flickr has a button that says 'share' which is how I use to link to photos- it's much easier.

Thanks Bambi, but I think it's not PB, no problems on other photo sites....found this site a month ago and was pleased with content and being Canadian ....I'm sure we'll find a way....

All the photos I post here are hosted by PB. It seems simple enough to me, but maybe I just stumbled upon an easy way of doing it. When you open your PB account and all your images are in front of you, just hover your cursor over one of the shots and see if you get a little drop down menu. If you do, just left click on the last option in the box. That copies the code that you just turn around and paste in the text box you get when you initiate a new post here.
