I applied an "infared" technique to this photo.... Let me know what you think...

I like the subject matter, and you're choice of framing (although there might be a little too much leaf in the top third of the pic).

However, I'm not personally a huge fan of the infared technique, so it doesn't work for me on that score (but that's because of my tastes rather than any problem with the pic itself.)

If the colour version was as good as I think it could be, I'd probably prefer to see it in colour...

Like Ben, I'm not a fan of Infrared techniques either but occassionally I see some I don't mind. And this is one of those.

In terms of Composition and the framing used I think it's very good. I like the DOF you chose also although it appears to be a little out of focus where it should be sharp so I'm guessing that was the inspiration behind going Infrared? I think it worked.

It does indeed appear that the colour version would also look nice.
