A good place to buy a prime lens

Hi all,
I'd really like to buy a 50mm prime lens for my Pentax K-r. As I'm very much an amateur, I was looking at 2nd hand rather than an expensive new one. Any ideas of good places to buy from in Australia or what to look for to know there's nothing wrong with it?

Craigslist. It's better than eBay in my book just because you can search on a local basis and touch it before you buy. If you are patient, what ever you're looking for will show up there eventually. I got the sweetest 35-70mm 2.8 a few months back for a song.
