I can see that inspiration coming through. The texture is cool. I suspect JJJ's image would have been much darker :)

Yea, 3J dwells on the dark side ... :evil2: but thanks. It is kinda tough finding the right textures for images, and making them meaningful. Jumpinjimmyjava has this mastered, and I am just a wee apprentice ....

I like it. did you try fading the texture a bit and boosting the contrast of the church steeple?

Every artist has their own vision, and in spite of your homage to JJJ, I can appreciate what you were after here. I love the lines (parallel to the frame on the left and then opening out to the right) and the texture adds to the mood. I keep seeing ghost-like figures in the steeple, sort of overshadowing each other on two sides, actually four sides. Almost but not exactly symmetrical composition. Also, black and white was a good choice to enhance the eerie effect.

The texture has an interesting effect on the shaded area in the belfry. It reminds me of paper snowflakes.
