I like the composition in both images.
The movement in shot 2 is cool!

I couldn't agree more.
Cool bridge. The 2nd one looks like a riderless horse. I hope there is someone in that carriage driving.

Thanks Marko, Barefoot, AntZ. I'd love to say the movement in shot 2 was planned, but it was a happy accident. I only had about 10 sec to setup to take the shot, so I was stuck with the aperture priority setting from my previous shot. Also because of the dark in the inside of the bridge, my centre spot metering got fooled. Picture was probably at least 1 stop over exposed. Thanks to raw files I was able to salvage the picture.
AntZ - Yes there was somebody in the carriage driving, however I have to admit it does look a little spooky.

Like both of these Asnow. Like that down low perspective in #1 and the emerging movement in #2. Well done.
btw, did you stop in at the general store and get some baked goods? The blueberry scones are amazing!!! Used to be a frequent customer there.

Thanks HBG. No I didn't stop at the general store. I wasn't feeling all that well that day but was determined to get out and get some pictures. In my travels went by St Jacobs and stopped at the market. Continued driving and spotted the sign for the covered bridge. After getting those pictures I was toast and just wanted to get home and go to bed. I must make a return visit and sample the baked goods.
On my way out of town I got this pic. I liked the horse and carriage in front of the old country school.

Thanks A.L. and Lindsay. This does look like a piece of the past. This is in Mennonite country in Ontario.

I really like that horse coming out of the bridge in the second one. It reminds me of something that I just cant place. Something like a ghostly horse and carriage???
