Mating Cecropia Moths

After a tough shoot in the woods(85mm,excited dog,bugs, don,t mix..lol), I was super lucky to spot these guys just as I was leaving the woods. They are North Americas largest moths.

Very colourful and very cool. So, how do you tell the difference between a moth and a butterfly?

Light up a flame and see if the butterflies are drawn to it :)

Very cool capture LL. Hard enough finding a Cecropia, but finding two mating, and getting such a good pic. Nice!
