I did a hike in NFLD from Signal hill, down along the cliff and back into St. John's. This was one part. To the left was a sheer drop to the water. Yes, I took my hand off the chain to snap the photo. :)

Interesting hike for sure Bambi, and with person in there, gives us some perspective.

Looks like a fun hike, (maybe not to child friendly).. It's one of those situations where a third arm starts to make sense.....

Maybe you are the brave one. Definitely need to be careful in locations like that, you might fall or worse... drop your camera :) All jokes aside, it has happened to photographers misjudging distances looking through the view finder.

Love the shot! And yep, definitely worth taking a few risks. I remember leaning way over on the end of a bunch of rocks at the edge of a river to get a shot of a hidden waterfall. Good balance helps. :P
