using an older nikon 105 macro

no flash
and a tripod

i like the second one. they all seem a bit "cool".

what do you mean by "cool"

You have warm and cold. Warm is more of the yellows, cool or cold has more of a blue tone. This chart may help you picture it. Basic color schemes: Color Theory Introduction (http://www.tigercolor.com/color-lab/color-theory/color-theory-intro.htm)
