Just playing around with the camera and post editing, just winged it

After realizing it is really hard to color select Maddy's eyes because they are so dark, I re-edited the image with just Morgan

I quite like shot 1 but in this case I'm not convinced the colouring works - I'd be interested to the the un-colourized version.
That said, if this is play just for the sake of learning please ignore the above :)

Here is the original untouched. I don't like the hard shadows around Maddy's eyes.

I agree with your assessment of the eye shadows - less prominent in the BW. Just as an FYI, on my monitor - The original is very red/orange.
But no matter what colour the cast is....my gosh your kids are super-cute!

Yes, it is very red/orange, main reason I converted to B/W. Having two girls that love to have their picture taken makes it a lot easier.
Here is an adjustment I made with the advice from another board
