This is some old graves near my house. Down here in the South, people have to be buried above ground because of the water table. There are a ton of these in New Orleans (which I plan to shoot one day)

Interesting. I much prefer the B&W in that harsh light.

The thing I like most about the crypts is the broken concrete, exposing the brick underneath, and that does not show too well in the B/W.

I think if the shadows weren't so dark it would really bring out that detail you like, both in the color and bw. :) New Orleans would be a great place to shoot!

I can go either way. I think if you went during the 'golden hour', the lighting may be quite interesting and warm. Not sure, Marko and MA would know way more about that, just an idea.

I have added third image to the first post (new rendition in color)
Seeing more detail in the shadows on the third one does more for me than the other two. :)

My preference is the third one. Like Kat like the extra details in the shadows.
